WTC final to be played at Lord’s

The international Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the dates and venue for the upcoming World Test Championship final 2025. The third WTC final will be held at the iconic Lord’s between June 11-15 next year. June (16) has been declared as a reserve day if needed. The last two editions of the WTC final in (2021) and (2023) were won by New Zealand and Australia respectively. 

It will be for the first time that WTC final will be played at Lord’s. India featured in the last two editions of the final but couldn’t overcome New Zealand and Australia. 

“The ICC World Test Championship Final has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in the cricketing calendar and we are pleased to announce the dates for the 2025 edition,” said ICC CEO Geoff Allardice in a statement.

"It's a testament to the enduring appeal of Test cricket, which continues to captivate fans around the world. Tickets will be in high demand so I would encourage fans to register their interest now to ensure they are in with a chance of attending the Ultimate Test next year."
