Rinku Singh to play Duleep Trophy as Indian players gear up for Bangladesh Tests
Indian batter Rinku Singh will be playing in the second round of the Duleep Trophy, having missed the opening round. The second round of Duleep Trophy will get underway from September 12.
Meanwhile, according to ESPNcricinfo, all the players, picked in India’s squad for the Test series against Bangladesh, will not participate in the second round of the Duleep Trophy as they will leave for a pre-series preparatory camp which will begin in Chennai on September 12. India’s first Test match against Bangladesh will begin on September 19 in Chennai.
Sarfaraz Khan, who is part of India’s 16-member squad, will not be withdrawn from the Duleep Trophy’s second round as he will be playing for India B. The report also stated that Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav and Akash Deep will be departing India A team and their positions will be filled by Pratham Singh, Akshay Wadkar, Shaik Rasheed, Shams Mulani and Pulkit Narang.
India B are likely to miss the services of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant and Yash Dayal. Suyash Prabhudesai, Himanshu Mantri and Rinku Singh are set to join the India B team. India C will not have any impact, while India D will be without Axar Patel and Tushar Deshpande. Kaverappa and Nishant Sindhu will be in the squad.
