Pakistan have announced their playing XI for the upcoming first Test against England, set to begin on Monday in Multan. The notable inclusion is pacer Aamer Jamal, who returns to the squad after his standout performance against Australia. Jamal’s return adds significant strength to the bowling attack, alongside other key bowlers such as Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi

Abrar Ahmed will be handling the spin department. The team will be looking to come out stronger, having suffered a 0-2 series loss against Bangladesh recently. It will also be interesting to see how Pakistan’s high-quality bowling attack will utilise the home conditions to bring down high-flying England.

Pakistan XI: Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood (capt), Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Salman Ali Agha, Aamer Jamal, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Abrar Ahmed.
