India announce squad for New Zealand Tests

India have named their squad for the upcoming three-match home Test series against New Zealand, maintaining much of the lineup that recently faced Bangladesh in a two-match Test series, which India swept 2-0.
The notable absentee is pacer Mohammed Shami, which means he has not recovered in time for the last home Test series before India head to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Meanwhile, Yash Dayal, who had been included in the squad for Bangladesh Tests, has been left out.
The notable inclusion is young bowler Mayank Yadav, who has been added to the squad as a travelling reserve along with Harshit Rana, Prasidh Krishna and Nitish Kumar Reddy. He recently made his impressive debut in T20I series against Bangladesh.
