In a huge surprise, India surrendered their six wickets for 34 on day two of the first Test match against New Zealand on Thursday in Bengaluru. India’s top-order collapsed in quick succession, with New Zealand’s Matt Henry and Will O’Rourke outshining Indian batters with their grandiose performances.

Indian batting star Virat Kohli continued to struggle as he was removed by Will O’Rourke for a nine-ball duck. New Zealand bowlers were relentless in their attack, striking with crucial wickets.

Falling on a duck, this was Virat Kohli’s 38th International duck, the most for any active cricketer, bringing him in level with New Zealand’s Tim Southee. Meanwhile, it has been a day full of frustration for India as they failed to get a strong start. Earlier, Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat. The day one of the first Test was washed out due to persistent drizzle.
