Sri Lanka and West Indies are preparing to take on each other in the second ODI of their three-match series on Wednesday at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. Having secured a victory in the first match, Sri Lanka now hold a 1-0 advantage and will aim to capitalise on their momentum to seal a series-clinching win.

In the opening match of the series, Sri Lanka came out with a solid all-around performance, successfully chasing a modest total set by West Indies. Key contributions came from Nishan Madushka and Charith Asalanka, who both homered (69) and (77) respectively.

For Sri Lanka, the standout performers in the second ODI will be crucial again. The batting lineup will be expected again to deliver consistently to maintain their lead in the series. Additionally, bowlers will also be expected to play a significant role so that the team can dominate West Indies.

On the West Indies side, they will be looking to respond strongly after the setback in the first game. With the availability of power hitters, West Indies will look to level the series before it heads into a decisive final ODI
