VVS Laxman to serve as India’s head coach for SA T20Is

Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman is set to be India’s head coach in the upcoming T20I series against South Africa, according to Cricbuzz. VVS Laxman, who is the incumbent director of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), will be stepping in as the interim head coach of team India for the South Africa series in the absence of permanent head coach Gautam Gambhir, who will be travelling to Australia with team India for the high-profile Border-Gavaskar Trophy, beginning on November 22. 

Team India will travel to South Africa to play the four-match T20I series, which begins on November 8 with the first game in Durban. VVS Laxman had also at times led India in the absence of Dravid during his tenure as head coach.
