Kane Williamson ruled out of third Test against India

Having already missed the first two matches of the ongoing Test series against India, New Zealand batter Kane Williamson is all set to miss the third and final Test match against India in order to make complete recovery ahead of the upcoming three-match home Test series against England. Williamson was out of action due to a groin injury he had suffered during the Test series against Sri Lanka.
"Kane continues to show good signs, but isn't quite ready to jump on a plane and join us," Head coach Gary Stead said in the release.
"While things are looking promising, we think the best course of action is for him to stay in New Zealand and focus on the final part of his rehabilitation so he'll be good to go for England. The England series is still a month away so taking the cautious approach now will ensure he is ready for the first Test in Christchurch,” he said.
New Zealand, on the other hand, have been massively successful as they registered their first ever Test series win in India after winning the first two games. The third Test will begin on November 1 at Wankhede Stadium.
