Legendary Kapil Dev wishes India ahead of Test series against Australia
Former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev has wished team India best of luck ahead of the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, which will begin from November 22 with the first Test in Perth. Wishing the team luck, legendary cricketer asked the players not to pay any attention to the outside commotion and just express themselves.
"I just want to wish my team all the luck. Don't listen much, go and express yourself. Those who will play well win win. There is no need to take excess pressure," Kapil Dev told reporters.
As India ramp up their preparations ahead of the first Test, there are reports that Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will be missing the first game. In their absence, it is believed that KL Rahul will open the batting alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, while vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah will lead the side following Rohit’s absence.
India are hoping to bounce back with commanding performances, especially after suffering a series whitewash against New Zealand in the recently concluded three-match home Test series. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh recently welcomed a baby boy following which, Sharma is expected to join the team ahead of the second Test.
