Tilak Varma registers massive record, blazes 151 off 67
In a landmark achievement for young Indian cricketer Tilak Varma, he has become the first player to score three consecutive T20 centuries. The young batter has been making waves in both domestic and international cricket, but his recent feat in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy opener against Meghalaya has taken his rise to new heights.
His incredible performance included a sizzling knock of 151, which not only made him the first player to score three successive T20 hundreds but also set a new record for the highest-ever T20 score by an Indian batter.
Tilak blazed 151 runs off 67, surpassing the previous record of 147 set by Shreyas Iyer. Lately, Varma has been in impressive form as he recorded back-to-back hundreds during India’s T20I series against South Africa.
