“I am super happy”: KL Rahul gear up for new journey with Delhi Capitals

After being released by Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, Indian wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul was bought by Delhi Capitals for INR 14 crore. Rahul led Lucknow Super Giants for two seasons during his time with the franchises, but now he is gearing up for a new journey with Delhi Capitals. Reacting to his move to Delhi Capitals, KL Rahul expressed his happiness and said that he can’t wait for the upcoming edition of the tournament.
"Hey guys, I am super happy to be joining the Delhi Capitals. A new journey begins for me with the Delhi Capitals and I am super excited. The squad looks really good. Can't wait for the season to begin and come to Delhi and play at the Kotla and entertain all of you. So see you guys there," KL Rahul said in a video shared on DC's social media account.
KL Rahul joins the Capitals with a wealth of experience, having led two franchises, Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants, in the past. It is still unclear whether Rahul will lead DC or not as they have not yet made any decision on leadership role. As far as KL’s IPL career is concerned, he has played 132 matches and scored 4,683 runs. He has hammered four hundreds and 37 half-centuries.
