Bangladesh name squad for WI ODIs, Mehidy Hasan to lead
Bangladesh have unveiled their squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against West Indies, set to begin on December 8. Mehidy Hasan Miraz will captain the team in the absence of regular skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto, who has been sidelined due to a groin injury. Mehidy Hasan is also leading the side in the ongoing two-match Test series against West Indies.
Another notable absentee from the squad is veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who continues to miss out. He has not played for Bangladesh since the Test series against India in India.
Middle-order batter Towhid Hridoy also fails to make the cut due to a groin injury. Another crucial absentee is Mushfiqur Rahim, who is also recovering from a injury. And ever-reliable pacer Mustafizur Rahman has pulled out of the series due to personal reasons.
