News

The ongoing three-match ODI series between Australia Women and India Women will once again witness both sides take on each other in the second game on Sunday at Allan Border Field, Brisbane. As the two teams face off in the second game, Australia remain incredibly confident, having registered a five-wicket win in the first game.

Australia Women made a strong statement in the series opener, clinching a dominant win. Their victory was built on a sensational bowling performance, spearheaded by Megan Schutt, who delivered a remarkable spell of five wickets, dismantling India’s batting lineup.

The victory in the first ODI gives Australia a 1-0 lead in the series and puts them in a strong position heading into the second match.

On the other hand, India Women will be looking to bounce back strongly in the second ODI. Despite putting up a fight, they couldn’t match the all-around brilliance of the Australian team in the first game. India’s batting, led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur, failed to build meaningful partnerships, which ultimately restricted their total. India would also like their bowlers to step up so that the series is levelled 1-1.The second ODI will be a must-win for India if they are to keep their hopes of winning the series alive.
