AUS vs IND 3rd Test, Day 1: Persistent rain spoils the entire day

The third Test match between Australia and India at the Gabba, Brisbane, got off to a frustrating start, as rain played a major role in hampering the day’s play. After winning the toss, England opted to bowl first, a decision that many saw as an attempt to capitalize on the early conditions.
However, just 13.2 overs into the match, persistent rain forced an interruption, bringing the action to a halt. The wet weather showed no signs of relenting, and after a prolonged delay, the umpires had no choice but to call stumps for the day.
With no further play possible, both teams were left waiting for better weather conditions on day two. At stumps, Australia were 28/0 with Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney unbeaten on (19) and (4) respectively. Currently, the series is levelled 1-1 after Australia beat India in the second game.
