WPL 2025 auction: All the squads post auction
The highly anticipated Women's Premier League 2025 auction, held on Sunday in Bengaluru, brought forth some exciting moments and a flurry of bids for emerging cricketers. Among the notable highlights was the impressive acquisition of Simran Shaikh by Gujarat Giants, making her the biggest buy.
She was picked for INR 1.9 crore. A total of 124 names featured at the auction but 19 players were sold. Tamil Nadu batter G Kamilini also made headlines after being acquired by Mumbai Indians for INR 1.60 crore.
Uttarakhand spinner Prema Rawat was bought by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for INR 1.2 crore. Talking about overseas players, West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin earned a lot after being bought by Gujarat Giants for INR 1.7 crore. Players like Heather Knight and Sneh Rana went unsold.
