AUS vs IND 3rd Test Day 3 Stumps: Frustration grows for India amid top order collapse

The third Test match between Australia and India was once again dominated by rain on day three on Monday at The Gabba in Brisbane, with a significant amount of time lost due to persistent rainfall. The third day of the Test match was largely disrupted by persistent rain, causing extended delays which reduced the amount of play. The interruptions not only frustrated both sides but also added an element of unpredictability to the match. As the weather continued to play spoilsport, the day's play was almost completely washed out.

Despite the rain delays, the situation for Indian batting line-up remains bleak. Australia, earlier, deciding to bat, posted a commanding total in their first innings, with Travis Head and Steve Smith leading the charge. With 445 runs on the board, Australia have been successful in asserting their control over the match. The partnership between Travis Head (152) and Steve Smith (101) was the highlight of the innings, with both players contributing centuries to put Australia in a commanding position

India, on the other hand, find themselves in a precarious position after losing their top four batsmen in quick succession. India had hoped to mount a strong reply, but their top order has faltered under the pressure. The dismissal of key players such as Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant early in the innings has left the team struggling to recover. The loss of such vital wickets has placed additional pressure on the lower order and India will need a resilient performance from their remaining batters to stay alive in the contest. At stumps on day three, India were 51/4, with KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma unbeaten on (33) and (0) respectively.
