Dunith Wellalage finds no place in Sri Lanka's squad for New Zealand T20Is

Sri Lanka have named a formidable 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against New Zealand, beginning December 28. Notably, they have left Dunith Wellalage out of the squad for the series. Meanwhile, the squad remains unchanged from their home series against New Zealand in November.
Wellalage is the only player, who has been omitted from the squad that went against New Zealand in home series. Charith Asalanka will continue to lead the side amid the presence of strong players such as Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana.
