After months of rumbling, it has now been confirmed that the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in a hybrid model, a decision that has come after a long delay. The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday made it official that Champions Trophy will be held in a hybrid model.

India's scheduled matches will not be played on Pakistani soil. Instead, they will be played at a neutral venue. "India and Pakistan matches hosted by either country at ICC Events during the 2024-2027 rights cycle" will be played at a neutral venue.

With the announcement, it is now clear that the event will be played as planned in February and March 2025, but India's matches will be held at a neutral venue. The decision will also be applicable on the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 (hosted by India) and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 (hosted by India and Sri Lanka).
