Sam Konstas talks about his face-off with Virat Kohli

Australian rookie batter Sam Konstas made a sensational debut in the recently concluded Test series against India, creating a huge impact with his sizzling performance. Apart from his stunning performance, Konstas was also in the news for his intense exchange of words with Indian dynamo Virat Kohli after the latter bumped into Konstas while walking past him.
Talking about the face-off and the chat he had with Kohli following the conclusion of the series, Konstas praised Kohli for his generosity, calling him a legend of the game. Konstas made his debut in the Boxing Day Test and cracked 60 off 65, including 6 boundaries and two sixes.
"I had a little chat after the game telling him that I idolise him, and it's obviously a huge honour playing against him," Konstas told News Corp.
"He just had that presence about him...[and] he was very down to earth. A lovely person, just wishing me all the best. I've idolised him from a young age and he's a legend of the game."
"He was very kind and wished me all the best. He even said he hoped I did well if I got selected for the Sri Lanka series. My whole family loves Virat, and he has been my idol from a young age. He’s truly a legend of the game."
Australia, meanwhile, won the series 3-1 to set up the World Championship Final against South Africa at Lord's in England.
