AUS-W vs ENG-W 1st ODI: All you need to know

The thrilling multi-format Ashes series between Australia Women and England Women is set to get underway from Sunday, with both sides gearing up to lock horns in the first ODI at North Sydney Oval, Sydney. The larger multi-format Ashes series also includes three T20Is and One-Off Test match. 

Australia’s formidable batting line-up and world-class bowling attack will make them a tough side to challenge. Moreover, they enter the series on the back of a 2-0 series win against New Zealand Women.  Before demolishing New Zealand, Australia had recorded 3-0 series whitewash against India. 

England Women, on the other hand, are no strangers to the Ashes. While they face an uphill task against the Australians, they have players capable of turning the game on its head. And, they have had huge success in recent times, having recorded eight ODI series victories on the bounce. The England side, which will be led by Heather Knight, also features Tammy Beaumont, Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier, Alice Capsey, Kate Cross.
