Shakib Al Hasan misses out as Bangladesh confirm Champions Trophy squad

Bangladesh have come out with their squad for the Champions Trophy, with Najmul Hossain Shanto set to lead the side. A notable absentee in Bangladesh’s squad is their most experienced all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who has been overlooked for the mega event. Shakib remains suspended from bowling in domestic and international cricket. However, he was qualified to play as a batter but Bangladesh decided not to add him to the squad.

Litton Das was also left out of the squad. Meanwhile, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah were added to the side. Bangladesh will kick off their campaign by facing India on February 20 at Dubai International Stadium.
