WPL 2025 schedule announced, RCB to clash with GT in the opener

The upcoming edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2025) will be held across four cities, with BCCI unveiling the schedule for the third edition of the tournament. The third edition of the tournament, which is set to begin on February 14, will be played in Baroda, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai. The tournament will get underway on February 14 with the clash between defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Giants at BCA stadium in Baroda. 

A total of six matches will be played in Baroda before the tournament shifts to Bengaluru where RCB will be hosting four games. Action will then shift to Lucknow for the first time. Four matches are scheduled to be played in Lucknow, with home side UP Warriorz slated to feature in three home games. 

The last leg of the tournament will be played in Mumbai, including the Eliminator and the Final. Mumbai Indians will play two back-to-back home matches  to cap off the league stage of the tournament. The top-placed team will straight storm into the final, while the teams resting on second and third place will lock horns in the Eliminator on March 13 in order to make it to the final. The final will be held on March 15.
