West Indies outplayed Pakistan in the second and final Test match, registering a 120-run victory on Monday in Multan to level the series 1-1. West Indies bowled the hosts out for 133 in their chase of 254, with left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican claiming five wickets. Warrican was well aided by Kevin Sinclair and Gudakesh Motie, who both took three and two wickets respectively to help the side draw the series.

This is West Indies’ first Test victory against Pakistan in Pakistan in almost 35 years.

Pakistan, who resumed the third day of the second Test with their overnight score of 76/4, got off to a shaky start with Saud Shakeel and  nightwatchman Kashif Ali losing their wickets without adding any runs. Mohammad Rizwan (25) fought back a little, but he too couldn’t last long after Jomel Warrican took him out. Earlier, West Indies scored 244 in their second innings to set a competitive target of 254 for Pakistan. Meanwhile, this has been a remarkable comeback from West Indies after they lost the first game by 127 runs.

West Indies, in their first innings after winning the toss and deciding to bat, scored 163 runs, with tailenders playing a major role in guiding the side to a reasonable total. Gudakesh Motie, Kemar Roach and Jomel Warrican blasted (55), (25) and (36*) respectively. Pakistan, In reply, put out 154 in their first innings, with Mohammad Rizwan rescuing the side with his (49) amidst the failure from other batters.
