“He'll be disappointed with the way he got out,”: Former Indian cricketer on Rohit’s perpetual struggle

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has been facing a challenging period with the bat. In his last ten innings in ODIs, Sharma has struggled to make a significant impact, recording scores below his standards. This dip in form was evident in the first ODI against England in the ongoing three-match series, where Rohit managed to score only 2 runs.
Rohit’s recent performances have been uncharacteristic for a player of his caliber. His score against England was his seventh single-digit score in last ten innings. Speaking on Rohit’s form, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has given his take.
"He'll be disappointed with the way he got out. Clearly there is pressure and if in 50-over cricket he struggles to get runs or get a big score, then you have a problem. Because I maintain that this is the best format for any batter, if you are batting in the top three, to get runs and come back into form. And if we don't get to see the best of Rohit Sharma in this three-match series and the Champions Trophy, then there is a problem," the cricketer-turned-pundit said.
Meanwhile, India are leading the three-match series 1-0 after they dominated in the first game on the back of match-winning knocks from Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer.
