Sri Lanka have named their squad for the two ODIs against Australia, with Chamindu Wickramasinghe being left out of the side. The squad is almost similar to the one that recently toured New Zealand for a three-match ODI series.
Pace-bowling allrounder Chamindu Wickramasinghe is the only change in Sri Lanka’s squad from the one that took on New Zealand. They have shortened the squad from 17 to 16. They have familiar faces with Kusal Mendis, Pathum Nissanka, Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana featuring in the squad.
The first ODI will be played on Wednesday, while the second will be held on Friday. Both the matches are scheduled to be played at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo.
Sri Lanka Squad: Charith Asalanka (c), Nishan Madushka, Nuwanidu Fernando, Avishka Fernando, Kusal Mendis (wk), Pathum Nissanka, Wanindu Hasaranga, Janith Liyanage, Kamindu Mendis, Asitha Fernando, Lahiru Kumara, Eshan Malinga, Mohamed Shiraz, Maheesh Theekshana, Jeffrey Vandersay, Dunith Wellalage
