Sanju Samson undergoes finger surgery

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson is on the road to recovery after undergoing surgery on his finger, with hopes to return to action in time for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL). 

As per reports, Samson will take about one month to make complete recovery. He will lead Rajasthan Royals at the IPL 2025. Meanwhile, IPL is likely to get underway from March 21. 

Samson faced an unfortunate injury setback while representing India during the fifth T20I against England, which was held on February 2. He was hit by a delivery from Jofra Archer. He scored 16 runs in that match and was substituted by Dhruv Jurel for wicket-keeping duties.
