IPL 2025: Mujeeb Ur Rahman replaces AM Ghazanfar at Mumbai Indians

Afghanistan spin sensation Mujeeb Ur Rahman has replaced injured AM Ghazanfar in Mumbai India’ squad for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Mujeeb was a standout performer for Paarl Royals in the recently-concluded SA20. He was the highest wicket-taker for the team, claiming 14 scalps in 12 matches.
However, his team lost to Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the Qualifier 2. As for AM Ghazanfar, he was recently ruled out of Champions Trophy and the IPL due to a back injury.
Meanwhile, Mujeeb Ur Rahman was last seen at IPL in 2021. He played only one game for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Mujeeb joins Mumbai Indians for INR 2 crore. Mujeen Ur Rahman has also represented Punjab Kings in the IPL previously.
