“I knew what was going to happen”: Shoaib Akhtar slams Pakistan

Former Pakistan bowler Shoaib Akhtar has launched an intense attack on Pakistan team for their heavy defeat against India in the Champions Trophy match on Sunday in Dubai. Akhtar didn’t hold back in lashing out at the team for failing to challenge India. He also slammed the management for only playing one spinner in the game.
Pakistan, meanwhile, were full of flaws in their planning as their bowlers and batters completely failed against India’s powerful performance. A devastated Shoaib Akhtar called Pakistan management ‘brainless and clueless’.
With the defeat, Pakistan are almost out of the tournament, having already kicked off their campaign with a defeat against New Zealand.
"I am not disappointed at all (on Pakistan’s defeat against India) because I knew what was going to happen. When you don't select 5 full-time bowlers, this is supposed to happen. The world is playing 5 good bowlers, but you select all-rounders. I don't know what you are thinking. I think that this is a brainless and clueless management. I am really disappointed. We can’t blame the kids? They are just the way the management is," Shoaib Akhtar said in a video posted on X.
"Intent is a ver different thing. They don’t have the skillsets like Rohit, Virat and Shubman. Neither do they know, nor does the management. They have gone to play the tournament, just like that. No one knows anything," he added.
Pakistan will now face Bangladesh on Thursday (February 27) in Rawalpindi.
