“It's definitely an advantage”: Rassie Van der Duseen on India playing all their games in Dubai

South African power hitter, Rassie Van der Duseen has joined the chorus with his remarks about India's distinct advantage in the ongoing Champions Trophy.  Rassie Van der Duseen, who is known for his skilful and explosive batting, said that India playing all their matches in Dubai, have a clear edge over other teams in the tournament.

India, so far, have won their past two matches against Bangladesh and Pakistan, thus qualifying for the semi-finals. Moreover, if India storm into the final, then the final will also be held in Dubai.

"It's definitely an advantage. I saw that Pakistan was commenting about it, but it's definitely an advantage. If you can stay in one place, stay in one hotel, practise in the same facilities, play in the same stadium, on the same pitches every time, it's definitely an advantage," Rassie Van der Dussen said as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

Rassie Van der Dussen asserted that India are also having pressure to completely exploit the conditions.

"I don't think you have to be a rocket scientist to know that. The onus would be on them to use that advantage. In a sense, it puts more pressure on them because whoever is going to play them in the semi or potentially the final is going to go there and the conditions are going to be foreign but they (India) are going to be used to it. The pressure would be on them to get it right because they have all that knowledge,” he said.
