Rabada heads back home due to personal reasons
South African pacer Kagiso Rabada has made a surprising exit from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season, flying back to South Africa due to personal reasons. While Gujarat Titans initially confirmed his exit from the IPL, details regarding the personal circumstances that prompted his departure have not been revealed.
Rabada played the first two games for Gujarat Titans against Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians. However, he didn’t feature in GT’s third game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, which GT won by eight wickets. Arshad Khan had played as a replacement for Rabada against RCB.
“Kagiso Rabada has returned to South Africa to deal with an important personal matter,” Gujarat Titans statement said.
Currently, Gujarat Titans are having two victories out of their three games. Their next match is on Sunday against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
