Delhi Capitals continued their impressive form as they cruised to their third consecutive victory in the ongoing IPL, beating Chennai Super Kings by 25 runs on Saturday at Chepauk. Winning the toss and opting to bat first, DC were led by a brilliant knock from KL Rahul. The wicketkeeper-batter lit up the Chepauk with a blazing 77 runs off 51 balls. His powerful hitting, which included six boundaries and three sixes, helped DC gain the momentum they needed to post a competitive total. Quick fireworks from Abhishek Porel (33) and Tristan Stubbs (24) proved to be quite valuable.

Chasing 184 to win, CSK got off to a disastrous start as their top three batters were dismissed in quick succession. Openers Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway, along with number three batter and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, were all back in the pavilion before the powerplay ended.

However, Vijay Shankar provided some relief with a determined and unbeaten 69 off 54 balls. Meanwhile, despite his best efforts, CSK couldn't get back into the game, with DC bowlers keeping the proceedings tight. DC bowlers were disciplined, with Mitchell Starc, Kuldeep Yadav, and Vipraj Nigam delivering breathtaking spells that tightened the noose around CSK’s chase.
