IPL, 2025, RR vs RCB: Phil Salt, Kohli power RCB to nine-wicket win

Royal Challengers Bengaluru stormed to a comprehensive nine-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals on Sunday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. RCB’s chase of 174 got off to a shattering start, with Phil Salt, blazing 65. Completing him well was chase master Virat Kohli, who remained unbeaten for 62, leading the side to a much-needed win.
After Salt’s dismissal, it was Virat Kohli who took charge. Demonstrating his class, Kohli crafted an unbeaten 62, guiding the chase meticulously. Devdutt Padikkal provided the finishing touch with a fiery 40, as the duo stitched together a solid partnership to take RCB home with 15 balls to spare.
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals, after being asked to bat, managed to post a competitive 173/4 in their 20 overs, thanks largely to a masterful knock of 75 by opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. He was well-supported by valuable contributions from Riyan Parag (30) and Dhruv Jurel (35*), who ensured RR reached a challenging total.
