“Good to win a game”: MS Dhoni post CSK’s massive win

MS Dhoni, with his unmatched batting ability, helped CSK end their five-match losing run with a five-wicket win over the bullish Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League on Monday in Lucknow. Dhoni racked up 26 off 11, smacking four boundaries and one six, as CSK clinched the victory with three balls to spare. He forged an unbeaten 57-run partnership with Shivam Dube to ensure the team’s crucial win. The victory has come as a big relief for CSK, who have endured a disappointing start.
“Good to win a game. Because you play a tournament like this, you want to win games. Unfortunately the matches haven’t gone our way; it gives a lot of confidence to the team,” Dhoni said in the post-match presentation.
“It was a tough game, glad to be on the winning side, and hopefully it gives us momentum.”
MS Dhoni also underlined that a few changes in their bowling unit helped them a lot.
"We made a few changes because we wanted to make sure our first six overs are slightly better because we need more bowlers in the first six. We were actually putting too much pressure on Ash, he has bowled two overs on wickets that were not doing a lot and the batsmen were just expressing themselves."
"We made a few changes where we could have more bowlers who could bowl in the first six and, if needed - if the fast bowlers, somebody goes for runs - we have Noor [Ahmad], who can drop in with one over. I feel this looks like a better attack, there's more manoeuvrability for the captain. I feel, as a bowling unit we have done well. As a batting unit, I think we can do even better."
