IPL 2025, RR vs LSG: Avesh Khan carries LSG home

In a nail-biting clash on Saturday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Lucknow Super Giants secured a thrilling 2-run victory over Rajasthan Royals, with Avesh Khan playing a massive role with the ball.
Despite a fiery knock by Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 74 for RR, LSG’s bowlers held their nerve, defending a total of 180 with great determination. Avesh Khan was the star of the show, claiming three crucial wickets to paralyse RR’s smooth chase.
Earlier, LSG had decided to bat first, but their innings never really got going, as they lost key wickets in quick succession. RR bowlers put the brakes on LSG’s scoring from the start, and they struggled to build any substantial partnerships. However, amidst the turmoil, Aiden Markram and Ayush Badoni stood firm. Markram played a superb knock of 66 off 45 balls, showing his class and taking the side to a competitive total. Badoni joined him in anchoring the innings with a knock of 50 off 34 balls. His innings was equally vital, as the pair made a big difference in taking the side to a more substantial total.
