Former Indian star Piyush Chawla optimistic about Mumbai’s comeback

Former Indian spinner Piyush Chawla has expressed optimism for Mumbai Indians’ comeback in the ongoing Indian Premier League. His optimism stems from Mumbai’s revolting performances over the last four games, where they have been unbeaten, claiming four victories on the bounce. On Wednesday, they raced to a comfortable seven-wicket victory over SRH to clinch their fourth consecutive victory. Rohit Sharma (70 off 46) was Mumbai’s star, living up to the expectation and striking his second-straight half-century to gorgeously lead his side to victory with 26 balls remaining.
“They are on a roll at the moment. The kind of cricket they are playing, all the games they've won recently have been convincing victories. They haven't really had to struggle. The bowlers are doing their job, the batters are doing wonders with the bat, and the middle order isn't even getting a chance to bat. That's a great sign for any team,” Chawla said on JioHotstar.
“This is why we always say Mumbai Indians is a team that knows how to make a comeback and take the lead. Earlier, there were concerns about Rohit Sharma not scoring runs, but in the last two games, he has stepped up. Hardik Pandya is in great form, both with the bat and ball, which gives him a lot of confidence and that reflects in his captaincy as well," Chawla said.
Mumbai Indians began their campaign on a disappointing note, winning just one of their first five games. But lately they have been blossoming with spectacular performances match after match. Interestingly, the whole outfit is performing in unison, making it incredibly harder for opposition to challenge them. Currently, MI now placed third in the points table with five victories in nine games.
