Glenn Maxwell out of IPL 2025 with finger injury

Punjab Kings’ all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been ruled out of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) with a finger injury in his right hand. Maxwell picked up the injury during a training session ahead of PBKS’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders.
“Glenn Maxwell has been ruled out of the remainder of the season due to a finger injury. We wish him a speedy recovery,” Punjab Kings confirmed it on their social media handle.
Even PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer also confirmed on Wednesday at the toss against Chennai Super Kings that Maxwell had fractured his finger.
“It’s unfortunate that he’s got a fractured finger,” Shreyas Iyer said.
“To be honest, we haven’t decided about the replacements yet so far but we are pretty strong in our team’s mindset and what we have outside of our playing XI. We’ve got variety of players who can win you matches. So we’re going to stick to that as much as possible.”
