Raghu Sharma replaces injured Vignesh Puthur at MI
Mumbai Indians have brought in uncapped leg spinner Raghu Sharma as a replacement for Vignesh Puthur, who has been ruled out of IPL 2025 with bone stress. Puthur, who made his IPL debut for the Mumbai franchise this season, had a terrific start, picking up three wickets against Chennai Super Kings in his debut match.
“He will continue to be with us to focus on his recovery & rehabilitation with the Mumbai Indians Medical and S&C team. We wish him a speedy recovery!” Mumbai Indians said in a statement.
Raghu Sharma has played for Punjab and Pondicherry in domestic cricket. He has taken 57 wickets in 11 first-class games. In List A game, he has picked up 14 wickets in nine games.
