Ayush Mhatre to captain India’s U19 squad in England, Vaibhav Suryavanshi gets included

Ayush Mhatre is set to lead India’s U-19 team for next month's tour of England after being appointed captain of the side on Thursday. Abhigyan Kundu will be serving as deputy to Mhatre. 14-year-old wonderkid Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also been included in the squad. The tour will feature a five-match Youth One-Day series and two multi-day matches against England U-19.
The most notable inclusion is Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who was in tremendous form in the IPL 2025. Representing Rajasthan Royals, Sooryavanshi scored 252 runs in seven games at a strike rate of 206.56. Last year. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was acquired for Rs 1.1 crore by Rajasthan Royals at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Mhatre, meanwhile, was signed up for INR 30 lakh by CSK as a replacement for captain Ruturaj Gaikwad for the IPL 2025 season.
