BCCI confirms change in venues for India’s home series vs West Indies, South Africa

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the change in venues for Team India’s home series against the West Indies and South Africa later this year. The second and final Test of the two-match Test series between India and West Indies in October, which was originally scheduled to be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, has now been shifted to Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
And the first Test between India and South Africa, which was originally scheduled to be played in Delhi in November, will now be held in Kolkata.
“Team India (Senior Men) will be facing West Indies and South Africa across Test matches, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) at home, with the IDFC First Bank Test series against West Indies starting on 2nd October 2025 in Ahmedabad. The 2nd Test against West Indies, originally slated for Kolkata, will now be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Meanwhile, the 1st Test against South Africa, starting November 14, 2025, has been shifted from New Delhi to Eden Gardens in Kolkata,” BCCI said in a statement.
There has also been the change in the venues for the three One-Day matches between India A and South Africa A. The matches, which were scheduled to be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, will now be held at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
“The South Africa Men’s A Team will face India A in two multi-day matches and three one-day games, starting October 30, 2025. While the two multi-day matches will continue to be held at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru, the three one-day games have been moved from M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, the three-match ODI series between India women and Australia women, scheduled to be played in Chennai, will no longer be played there. Instead, the matches will now be played in New Chandigarh and Delhi.
“Due to the revamping of the outfield and pitches at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the IDFC First Bank ODI Series between Team India (Senior Women) and Australia Women has been moved from Chennai. The first two ODIs will now take place at the New PCA stadium in New Chandigarh, while the third and final ODI will be held at the Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi,” the statement added.
