Sri Lanka confirm squad for first Test vs Bangladesh

Sri Lanka have confirmed their 18-member squad for the upcoming first Test against Bangladesh, marking the beginning of their campaign in the new ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. The encounter is crucial as veteran all-rounder Angelo Matthews has announced that it will be his final appearance in Test cricket, bringing down the curtain on a remarkable red-ball career. 

There are news faces in the squad in Pasindu Sooriyabandara, Pavan Rathnayake and Isitha Wijesundara, who will be looking to make their mark in Test cricket. The first Test will begin in Galle on June 17.
