England have confirmed an unchanged playing XI for the second Test against India, maintaining the same side that secured a thrilling victory in the opening match of the five-Test series at Headingley. The decision reflects the team management’s confidence in the current combination, which delivered a spectacular performance to take a crucial 1-0 lead in the series.
Notably, Jofra Archer, who had been added to the squad, has been left out of the XI for the 2nd Test. England are riding high on confidence after claiming a five-wicket win in the first Test. They managed to successfully chase down a formidable total of 371 runs in the fourth innings. The second Test will begin on Wednesday at Edgbaston.
