Australian pacer Mitchell Starc has once again etched his name into the history books by claiming the fastest five‑wicket haul in men’s Test cricket, in just 15 balls, during his 100th Test appearance in Kingston against the West Indies.

On Day 3 at Sabina Park, Starc began with a clean sweep in his opening over, dismissing John Campbell, Kevlon Anderson, and Brandon King. He returned with a triple-wicket opening over. Apart from taking these three wickets, Starc dismissed Mikyle Louis and Shai Hope to complete his five-wicket haul.

With the five-wicket haul, Starc surpassed the previous record of 19 balls (jointly held by Ernie Toshack, Stuart Broad, and Scott Boland) by a stunning four‑ball margin. In the process he also completed his 400th Test wickets, becoming the fourth Australian bowler to reach the milestone after Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath and Nathan Lyon. Meanwhile, Australia won the third and final Test by 176 runs to sweep the series 3-0.
