The stage is once again set for a thrilling second and final match between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in the ongoing two-match ODI series, scheduled for Sunday in Harare. Sri Lanka, who are leading the series 1-0 after a convincing win in the first ODI, have put the hosts under immense pressure to bounce back and level the series.

Sri Lanka kicked off the series with a dominant performance in the first ODI. They emerged victorious in a thrilling contest, securing a seven-run win and taking a 1–0 lead in the two-match ODI series. Chasing a target of 299, Zimbabwe fought back hard, with Sikandar Raza, Ben Curran and Sean Williams smacking 92, 70 and 57, respectively. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's Dilshan Madushanka delivered a sensational hat-trick in the final over to power Sri Lanka to victory. Going into the final ODI, Sri Lanka will be keen to complete the job and not let the series slip away.

For Zimbabwe, the second ODI represents an opportunity to level the series 1-1 and avoid series defeat. They would look to come out more strongly to make a powerful comeback and level things up. Moreover, Zimbabwe will need to fire in all departments in order to challenge the Sri Lankan lineup.
