Mushfiqur Rahim set to play 100th Test
Bangladesh batter Mushfiqur Rahim is reportedly all set to play his 100th Test match when Bangladesh host Ireland in the second Test of the two-match series, which begins on November 19. The second Test will be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
Mushfiqur's 100th Test is a monumental achievement, as he will become the first-ever player from Bangladesh to reach this remarkable landmark. He made his Test debut for Bangladesh in 2005 and is the only Bangladesh batter to have more than 6000 Test runs.
Meanwhile, Ireland, who were earlier unwilling to play two Tests in Bangladesh and instead hoped to play a one-off Test, have now agreed to play the two-match Test series. Meanwhile, the first Test will be held in Sylhet from November 10 to 14, while the second and final Test will be played in Dhaka from November 18 to 22.
