Veteran Zimbabwean cricketer Sean Williams has been released from the national squad currently participating in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Region Final. The 39-year-old left-handed batter was released due to personal reasons, as confirmed by Zimbabwe Cricket.

In response to his departure, Zimbabwe has called up wicketkeeper-batter Clive Madande as a replacement.
