Tanveer Sangha added to Australia's T20I squad for India series, replaces Adam Zampa

Australia have drafted young spinner Tanveer Sangha into their squad for the upcoming T20I series against India, with senior spinner Adam Zampa unavailable for the start of the series due to personal reasons. Cricket Australia confirmed Sangha will join the Australia squad in Canberra ahead of Wednesday’s series opener against India. He has not played a T20I since 2023.
However, he has played seven games, taking ten wickets at 24.90. He registered career-best figures of 4-31 on his debut against South Africa.
Meanwhile, Zampa’s wife, Harriet, is expecting their second child. The spinner had also missed the first ODI in Perth against India earlier this month owing to the extensive travel schedule before returning to the side in Adelaide, where he delivered a match-winning performance that earned him the Player of the Match award. He also featured in the Sydney ODI.
