Sri Lanka name squads for white-ball tour of Pakistan

Sri Lanka on Friday announced their squads for their upcoming tour of Pakistan for a three-match ODI series and a T20I tri-series featuring Zimbabwe. Charith Asalanka has been confirmed as captain for both the ODI series and the T20 tri-series. Dasun Shanaka has been appointed as the vice-captain of the T20I side for the T20I tri-series.

Eshan Malinga, a promising fast bowler who has been around the fringes of Sri Lankan white‐ball squads, has been included in both the ODI squad for the three-match series against Pakistan and the T20I squad for the tri‐series. Malinga could be in line to make his international debut in this upcoming T20 tri-series. The tour begins with a three-match ODI series against Pakistan, followed by the T20I tri-series.

Sri Lanka ODI squad: Charith Asalanka (c), Pathum Nissanka, Lahiru Udara, Kamil Mishara, Kusal Mendis, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Kamindu Mendis, Janith Liyanage, Pavan Rathnayake, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Jeffrey Vandersay, Dushmantha Chameera, Asitha Fernando, Pramod Madushan, Eshan Malinga.
