In the fifth match of the ongoing Women's Big Bash League, Melbourne Renegades will be locking horns with Sydney Thunder Women on Tuesday at Junction Oval in Melbourne. The Renegades began their campaign with a thumping seven-wicket win over Brisbane Heat in the rain-shortened opening encounter of the tournament.

Georgia Wareham starred for the Renegades, taking career-best figures of 3/12 from 4 overs. Tess Flintoff and Alice Capsey also contributed with the ball, taking 3/30 and 3/22, respectively. For the match against Thunder, Renegades will remain unchanged, confirming the same squad.

Sydney Thunder, on the other side, began their campaign with a six-wicket defeat against Hobart Hurricanes in their season-opening match of the tournament. Going into the new showdown, they would hope to bounce back to return to winning ways and claim their first win of the season.
