About Andile Phehlukwayo

Born in Durban, Andile Phehlukwayo is a genuine all-rounder and one of the brightest talents from South Africa. Growing up, he was a inclined to two sports - Hockey and Cricket. Despite earning a scholarship in hockey, cricket was his first choice. worked his way into South Africa's T20 side through several seasons of good performances for Dolphins .

He was part of the Proteas U-19 World Cup winning squad in 2014, but went largely unnoticed, having played a solitary game without any significant contribution. He was also part of the Dolphins set-up that toured India for the Champions league later that year. He didn't have a great tournament there either. He went back to the drawing board and worked meticulously on honing his skills. It was 2015-16 season in which he first tasted success and emerged as the highest wicket-taker for the Dolphins in the T20 competition and was swiftly elevated to the South Africa XI for a tour game against the visiting English side in Kimberly.
