About Ellyse Perry
She holds a unique distinction of representing her country in both cricket and football. At the age of 16, she tasted cricket first before going on to play professional football for her country. When she made an appearance at the 2009 Women's World Cup, Perry became the youngest Australian cricket to have played the multi-nation event.
Perry plays for New South Wales Women in the domestic circuit. She made her ODI debut against New Zealand in 2007 and has been a regular member of the side since then. Her best bowling came against India at Mumbai in 2012 when she ran through Anjum Chopra's side to bag 5 wickets for just 19 runs. She is also a handy batsman lower down the order who can make valuable contributions.
She made her Test debut in 2008 against England and has done well in the few games that she has played.
